The committee is looking to bring software testing to the forefront of software engineering in 2026, as the committee has noticed the past few years a trend of shuffling testing to the sidelines and background in an effort to put things into production quickly, and this is making organisations lose touch with the “why” of testing. Let’s do our part to remind them! This is why they are working on bring a program that focus on the application of testing to the software development flow and most importantly getting the information from it to the right people over creating checkboxes and gates to clear.
